The new Evolving Skies? Leaked Delta Reign with retro Mega Rayquaza and LEGEND stadiums

It was seen coming and it has ended up happening: the final stretch of 2026 has just been blown up. After weeks of murmurs in Japanese forums and private distribution chats, the printing plates of Delta Reign have been leaked, the set that will close the Mega Evolution block linked to Pokémon Legends: Z-A in style.

And when The Pokémon Company needs to break the market, it plays it safe: put the green dragon on the cover. Mega Rayquaza ex returns leading the collection with a finish that already has half a collection with tachycardias.

The bombshell: Mega Rayquaza with golden katakana

Forget for a moment the typical Special Art Rare (SAR) mold. This letter goes straight to the nostalgia of the XY era of Nintendo 3DS:

• Embossed retro katakana: The dragon's ultimate attack (Dragon Ascent / ガリョウテンセイ) crosses half an illustration in gold Japanese characters with textured foil. Pure nineties and Japanese showcase aesthetics.
• Cosmic art: Rayquaza traversing the stratosphere between northern lights and dimensional textured meteorite fragments.
• It hits very hard on the table: It is not just a piece to graduate in PSA; Plants 300 points of damage on the table and nullifies the attacks of opposing Basics on their entry turn. Head to Standard format.

Double cards are back: Panoramic Stadiums

The other big surprise of the set rescues one of the most beloved inventions in the history of the TCG: the wall format of the mythical HeartGold & SoulSilver LEGEND cards.

We are talking about Dual Stadiums divided into two cards (left half and right half):

• Full field effect: They are not activated at 100% until both halves are brought together on the mat, changing the energy costs and withdrawals of the entire table.
• Signed by cult illustrators: The art is done by legends such as Mitsuhiro Arita and Tomokazu Komiya. Getting the two halves with correlative numbers in PSA 10 is going to be the true obsession of grail hunters.

Akihabara in flames: the secondary market does not wait

It didn't take 20 minutes for the gossip in Japanese forums to spread to wallets:

• Pre-sales sold out in 90 seconds: Reference stores in Tokyo saw their servers go down before most could put the box in the cart.
• Resale unleashed: Deals are already being closed on import portals for 2 booster boxes above €350, tripling the official price before going to press.
• Moonbreon Effect: The drag has been immediate. The already legendary Rayquaza VMAX Alternate from Evolving Skies (#218) has risen 12% on Cardmarket in a matter of hours. When Rayquaza makes noise, everything with his face goes up.

When does it arrive and how to play it wisely

• Japan: November 6, 2026.
• West: Beginning of 2027 (within the international batch).

ShinyHold Tip: Don't buy with your pulse at two hundred beats. Paying €175 for a single Japanese box of output is eating into the peak of FOMO. There will be reprints and prices will tend to stabilize.
